Human Trafficking and Migration Smuggling Conference in Islamabad

On 15th and 16th of June 2015, Sam Makkan presented at a Regional Conference organized by UNODC on Human Trafficking and Migration Smuggling. The conference was in Islamabad and was predominantly for Regional partners who share a common borders through which much of this activity takes place. The topic delivered by Sam was “Legal Instruments for the Enhancing Information Sharing Amongst States”.

My presentation focused on the key International Instrument – the UN Convention Against Transnational Crime and the supporting Protocols. Sam also acted as a conference resource for the UNODC at case study sessions. The conference was over 2 days.
