Stream House is pleased to announce that Alan Bacarese, Director of Anti Corruption and Asset Recovery, has recently been appointed as an External Member of the IDB’s Sanctions Committee. Alan will be act as one of four non IDB expert staff to adjudicate on potential sanctions breaches by individuals and/or companies involved in suspected breaches of IDB Goups anti corruption policies.
The Sanctions Committee is the second-tier of the Sanctions System. The Committee reviews and makes final decisions on cases where Respondents appeal the Case Officer Determination. In accordance to the Statute of the Sanctions Committee, the Committee decides cases in full or in Panels, depending on the complexity of the case and nature of the decision.”
